Grassy areas outside our fenced pool and playground area provide plenty of room to play catch or sprawl on your picnic blanket.
Swim Lessons at RVC
Swim lessons are a great way for kids to build confidence in the water while learning important safety and swimming skills. This summer The Rockville Center will offer group swim lessons.
Lessons are taught by an experienced instructor in a supportive and fun environment right here at the Rockville pool.

Pool Rules & Membership
We’re all about having fun in the sun, but a few simple rules help keep the good times rolling! To make sure everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing pool experience, please follow our guidelines and be kind to your fellow members.
Lifeguards are always on duty and here to help, so listen up when they give instructions. Keep an eye on your kiddos, clean up your space, and remember, no glass, no stress! Outside snacks are welcome in designated areas, and our concession stand has you covered when cravings hit. For all the details, check out our full list of pool rules.

We’re here for long, sunny days and warm summer nights! Our pool is open seven days a week so you can swim, relax, and make the most of the season.
Regular Hours
• Sunday: 12 PM – 8 PM
• Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Swim Meet Closures
Throughout the summer, we host home swim meets with the Rockville Racers, which means the pool may close early at 4 PM on select evenings. We’ll always share meet dates in advance on our Calendar and social media so you can plan ahead!

When does the pool open for the season?
Our pool season typically runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, however because we are run by a board of volunteers if the VA weather gives us an early summer and a late balmy fall we will do our best to extend our season. OPENING DAY 2026: Saturday 5/23 with special opening week hours through 5/29. Regular hours start 5/30.
Who can use the pool?
The pool is open to Rockville Center members and their guests. Guests must be accompanied by a member, and guest fees apply.
How do I become a member?

Are lifeguards on duty?
Yes! Certified lifeguards are on duty during all pool operating hours to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Are food and drink allowed?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages, however NO GLASS is permitted in the pool area. Please be curteous and be sure to clean up all trash.
We also offer a concession stand with a variety of snacks and cold drinks.
What amenities are available at the pool?
Our pool area includes:

Do you offer swim lessons?
Yes! The Rockville Center is excited to offer swim lessons for the 2026 season. Lessons are designed to help swimmers of all ages and skill levels build confidence, improve technique, and stay safe in the water.
Lessons will be offered throughout the summer and led by qualified instructors. More information about lesson types, schedules, and registration will be shared soon.
Is there a lost and found?
Yes! Lost items can be checked for at the guard station at the entrance. We encourage labeling personal belongings to help us return them quickly.
What if there is bad weather?
For the safety of our members and staff, the pool may close temporarily during severe weather, including thunder, lightning, or heavy rain. Updates are posted on our website and social media.

No, The Rockville Center does not offer public day passes.
