Swim Lessons at the Rockville Center
We’re excited to introduce swim lessons at The Rockville Center for the 2026 season!
This summer we will be offering group swim lessons for children who are learning to swim or looking to build confidence in the water.
Lessons will focus on water safety, foundational swim skills, and helping kids feel comfortable and confident in the pool.
More details on lesson schedules, age groups, and registration will be shared soon.
Meet the Instructor
We’re thrilled to welcome Lindsey McDowell to lead our swim lesson program.
Lindsey brings an incredible background in swimming, coaching, and education to Rockville.
– Graduate of Patrick Henry High School (2013)
– Masters of Education – Old Dominion University (2018)
– Swam competitively for NOVA for 13 years and Burkwood for 5 years
– Division I NCAA swimmer at Radford University and Old Dominion University
– Coached the Glen Allen Gliders for 6 years as an 8 & Under Coach, Assistant Coach, and Assistant Head Coach
– Assistant Head Coach for Hanover High School Swim Team for 5 years
– Elementary school teacher in Hanover County for 8 years, currently at Beaverdam Elementary
With her background as a competitive swimmer, coach, and educator, Lindsey brings both technical expertise and a passion for working with kids.
